  On January 8, 2008, hundreds of Stephenville, Texas residents gave witness reports of unidentified flying objects in the sky at sunset. Witnesses from all over the city observed various types of giant UFOs, as long as a mile long with very bright lights. The description of the reports varied in size and shape, suggesting several different types of UFOs flew in the night sky that evening in Stephenville. Some reported triangular crafts and others reported disk shaped objects, but all reported the UFOs as very large. Some residents also reported seeing what looked like military aircrafts following the UFOs.
